The qualifying individual will provide programming support for research laboratories at Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute on Aging. The individual will assist researchers involved in medical image analysis on computer-related issues and will also have opportunities to become involved in independent research projects. Specific responsibilities include: 1) Development of analysis pipelines and scripts in the MATLAB and JAVA programming environments, 2) Assist in the development and maintenance of image analysis algorithms, 3) Installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing multi-platform servers and clients. Qualifications:
Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field. Individuals holding a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience will also be considered. Development experience with Matlab and Java, as well as Unix shell scripting languages and experience with both Windows and Unix operating systems is required. The qualified applicant should possess strong problem solving and communication skills that will be required for interaction with multi-disclipinary investigators. Desirable skills include experience with SPM and other medical image analysis software, experience performing statistical analyses of biomedical data sets, and experience with system administration, web development, and/or web server maintenance.
