The Northern California Institute for Research and Education, affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco seeks a Medical Imaging Statistician at the Center for Imaging of Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIND) in the Department of Radiology at the SF VA Medical Center. The position’s focus is on the development of novel concepts in medical imaging statistics and dimensionality reduction that provides researchers with effective tools for simultaneous analysis of multimodality MR brain images, including structural, perfusion, and diffusion weighted MRIs, contributing to better hypotheses and models regarding processes underlying neurodegeneration. The multimodality MR image analysis aims at determining the extent of each MR imaging methodology in explaining variance in clinical measure and in distinguishing patient groups. The candidate should be extensively experienced in various aspects of medical imaging statistics, including voxel based imaging statistics, voxel based multivariate analysis, dimension reduction methods, testing for mediators and moderators, and single-subject analysis.
