PhD positions in Synthetic Biology

pplications are invited for PhD fellowships in the Synthetic Biology Lab of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas, Dallas. The successful candidates will model, design, experimentally implement and characterize synthetic mammalian gene networks. Applicants should have a strong background in mathematical and computational modeling and motivation to carry out experimental research. Experience in standard molecular and mammalian cell biology techniques is an advantage. Candidates will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary research and to foster in-house collaborations with current nanotechnology and biomedical engineering expertise of NSERL.
