PhD position: Field-driven magnetic particles for affinity biosensing (Netherlands)

Interactions between proteins are at the basis of functionality in living organisms and at the basis of sensitive and specific recognition in immunoassay biosensors. Our research goal is to develop a biosensor]compatible toolbox based on electromagnetic actuation of magnetic particles with nanometer precision to actuate proteins and study their mutual interactions.

The PhD project is part of the 'Bionano for Biosensing' program, a collaboration between academic parties and companies (Free University Amsterdam, Leiden University, Delft University of Technology, Radboud University Nijmegen, Philips Research, NT-MDT) funded by the Netherlands Nanotechnology funding scheme.
