ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIPS ‐ Master on Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology

WOP‐P ‐ Master on Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (2012‐2013)

Psychology (WOP‐P). Now you can study the whole program in English!
New call of scholarships at the Erasmus Mundus for students/scholars aiming to study/teach at the Master on Work, Organization and Personnel Psychology (WOP‐P). Recently awarded by the Mediterranean Office for Youth and in its second round by the Erasmus Mundus program, WOP‐P master continues to be considered one of the best programs in its professional and academic area.

Five universities are part of the educational consortium: Universitat de València (Spain), Universitat
de Barcelona (Spain), Université René Descartes Paris 5 (France), Alma Mater Studiorum‐Università di
Bologna (Italy) and Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal). New partnerships have been developed with the Universidade de Brasília (Brazil) and University of Guelph (Canada). In the second round of the WOP‐P Program, some changes have been introduced such as the possibility to study the whole program in English and to develop exchange periods of study with the new American Universities in the partnership.

For the next academic year 2012‐2013 the European Union offers student scholarships to students of any nationality aiming to study at the Master on Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (WOP‐P). Additional scholarships should be made available for students from three geographical areas: “Western Balkans and Turkey”, “Tunisia and Egypt” and “Eastern Neighbourhood Countries” (i.e. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).

Deadlines:
Scholarships for students from 15th November 2011 to 1st January 2012.
Scholarships for scholars from 15th November 2011 to 30th September 2012.
Student application for the WOP‐P Master program is open from 15th November 2011 to July‐September 2012.

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship

This exciting scholarship opportunity is open to Canadian, Chinese, Indian and US nationals. Awards worth £2000 each are available towards the cost of tuition fees for full time Masters Programmes in a wide range of subject areas.

These scholarships are supported and funded by the Scottish Government in partnership with University of Aberdeen.

Eligibility
To be considered for the scholarship you will need to have applied to the University of Aberdeen for a place starting in September 2010 and have firmly accepted an offer, either conditional or unconditional by 11 June 2010.

The scholarship can only be held by a student of the University commencing study in September 2010 – it cannot be transferred to another institution.

Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.

Sports Scholarships in Canterbury Christ Church University - UK

 CCCU Sports Scholarships

The University offers seven scholarships of £500 per annum to sportsmen/women in any sport. Students awarded a Sports Scholarship will be expected, as far reasonable, to represent the University throughout the duration of their studies as a three year undergraduate student. The selection for the Scholarship will be by the University's Sports Scholarship Committee.

Cricket
A cricket scholarship of £1000 will be available in partnership with Canterbury Cricket Club. Applicants must have played at County level and be committed to play at senior Kent League level and play for the University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and/or equivalent competition.

Rugby
In partnership with Canterbury Rugby Club and local businesses, the University offers two Scholarships of £2,000 per annum. The eligibility criteria are for the recipients to be a first team player at Canterbury Rugby Club and play for the University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and/or equivalent competition.

Hockey
In partnership with Canterbury Ladies' and Men's Hockey Clubs, the University offers two Scholarship of £2,000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to be able to represent both Canterbury Ladies' or Men’s Hockey 1st Team and play for the University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and/or equivalent competition.

In partnership with Old Bordenian Hockey Club a hockey scholarship is also available of £1000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to able to represent either the Hockey ladies or men's first team and play for the University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and/or equivalent competition.

In partnership with Maidstone Hockey Club, the University offers two scholarships of £1,000 per annum. Applicants must be of a standard to able to represent either the Hockey ladies or men's first team and play for the University in the British Universities & Colleges Sport league and/or equivalent competition.

Unniversity of East Anglia (UK) - International Student Scholarships

The University of East Anglia awards over £1,000,000 of scholarships each year to support international students in their studies. The awards are made by individual Schools of Study in the University. All international students (outside the European Union) are considered for a scholarship of between 10% and 50% of tuition fees.

In order to be considered for a UEA scholarship you do not need to make a separate application. Please indicate on your application for admission that you wish to be considered for a scholarship.

It is important to make an application as early as possible because they are considered as they are received. So apply early to make sure of the best chance of success. If you are granted a scholarship, you will be informed at the time you receive your offer of a place at UEA.

Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit and are normally for the duration of the period of study - three years for Bachelor and PhD degrees and one year for Masters programmes. They are available from all Schools of Study and across most courses of study.

Students of outstanding academic ability will also be considered for Faculty Scholarship Awards made by the Dean of Faculty, usually in April or May each year. These are highly competitive and prestigious awards.

Edinburgh Global Master's Scholarships

The University of Edinburgh will offer 20 Master's scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2010-2011 academic session.

Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000 which will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh from the following countries:

Novo Scholarship Programme 2010 in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Deadline: 30 October, 2009 at 12.00 hrs (noon)

Novo Nordisk and Novozymes offer scholarships to support graduate training of some of the best students in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences, including bioinformatics, molecular biology, systems biology, translational medicine, microbiology, protein chemistry, biophysics, pharmacology, medical research methodology, pharmacy, drug delivery and biomedical devices. The purpose is to allow selected students at universities in Denmark and Lund University to devote full time to their MSc thesis (speciale).

Who can apply:
Students enrolled at either a Danish university or Lund University at the time of submitting the application. The university supervisor must be associated with the same institution. The student can, however, spend some time at an institution outside the university such as Novo Nordisk/Novozymes R&D labs or an institution abroad. Master students already performing their thesis work at Novo Nordisk /Novozymes cannot apply.

The scholarship offer:
The scholarship amounts to approx. DKK 75,000 for a full year and cannot be extended. Applications for shorter periods can be accepted. It is expected that the student does not take on paid work during the scholarship period. Recipients can apply for additional support of max DKK 6,000 during a period of up to six months after the expiration of the scholarship. This allowance supports participation in international meetings to present the results of the funded project. The scholarship can be initiated anytime between 1 February, 2010 and 1 September, 2010.

How to apply:
The research project must be of high scientific quality and must be supported by a contact person at Novo Nordisk or Novozymes. It is a prerequisite that the applicant identifies a contact person with research competences within the scientific area or technologies applied in the project. The contact person has no formal tutorial responsibilities but must agree to monitor project progress until completion. To help identify suitable projects, university researchers and students can contact relevant scientists or departments at Novo Nordisk or Novozymes.

Recipients of the scholarship, supervisors and contact persons will receive an invitation to the Novo Scholarship Symposium which will take place on Thursday, 21 January, 2010 at Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd.

Eiffel scholarships - Call for applications 2010


The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs launched the Eiffel excellence scholarship programme in January 1999 to support French centres of higher education in their international outreach initiatives, in a context of mounting competition among developed countries, to attract elite overseas students on master’s, engineering and PhD courses.
