SINAPSE is a major collaboration between six Scottish universities that aims to create a shared environment for human neuroimaging research that meets the emerging opportunities and challenges posed by cognitive neuroscience research in Scotland. SINAPSE focuses on the use of neuroimaging in the investigation of issues related to health and disease, and is supported by the Scottish Funding Council.
SINAPSE invites applications for 3-year PhD Studentships, starting between 1st October 2008 and 31st Jan 2009. The projects are in areas of MRI (including fMRI), PET, SPECT, EEG and ERPs, and focus on image processing and data analysis methodologies, including MR tractography, improved structural and functional MR data processing, modelling of imaging data, and the development of imaging techniques for use in multi-centre studies.
