PhD FELLOWSHIP AT AALBORG UNIVERSITY, DENMARK

Description:

At center for Sensory-Motor Interaction, Aalborg University a position as Ph.D. fellow is open for appointment from November 1st 2008. The reseach will focus on evaluation of recording and stimulation selectivity of novel intrafascicular electrode. The work will include neural recording and stimulation techniques with the goal to evaluate the recording and stimulation selectivity and biocompatibility of a novel peripheral nerve electrode type. The research is part of an ongoing EU FP7 project that aims to provide sensory feedback and treatment of phantom limb pain in amputee patients. Qualifications:

Previous experience with recording of biological signals, signal processing and a background in biomedical engineering is an advantage. PhD stipends are allocated to individuals who hold a Masters degree. PhD stipends are normally for a period of 3 years.
