Cognitive Neuroscience investigates cognitive functions such as action, perception, language, memory, and attention, and their neural foundations. Cognitive Neuroscience is one of the top areas of research at the Radboud University Nijmegen. In Nijmegen the research in Cognitive Neuroscience focusses on three areas: language and language processing, perception and action, and the neural foundations of cognition. The three specialisations within the master's in Cognitive Neuroscience are linked with these three main fields of research.
The master's in Cognitive Neuroscience is embedded in the unique expertise centres on the campus: Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, F.C. Donders Centre, Centre for Language Studies, the Nijmegen Institute for Cognition and Information, the departments of Biophysics and Medical Physics and several research groups of the University Medical Centre St. Radboud. This guarantees a top-flight environment for research and education in Cognitive Neuroscience.
