FMRI PHD FELLOWSHIP IN GERMANY

Title: Correction of Susceptibility caused Distortions in Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging

The Graduate School for Computing in Medicine and Life Sciences (www.gradschool.uni-luebeck.de) at the University of Lübeck invites applications for a 3-year PhD scholarship.

Application deadline: June 30, 2009.

Project description:

Based on new registration methods, it was shown that the statistic measure of similarity between CT images and T1-MR images of the same anatomy increased after applying this new method. The goal of this project is to apply the techniques developed to fMRI images, in order to allow for the use of fMRI in navigation.

Requirements:

Candidates are expected to have a master’s degree (or its equivalent) in computer science, mathematics or engineering. Prior experiences in scientific publishing (during the university study or industry employment) are of advantage.
