Ultrasound imaging has become a very popular diagnostic tool in medical profession. It is being commonly used in obstetrics and soft tissue imaging of many parts of the body. Cardiac, vascular, thyroid, renal, liver and gall bladder scans are routinely conducted using ultrasound imaging. Objective of this program is to give an overview of the technological development in this area, physics of this modality, analysis, interpretation and clinical applications.

COURSE CONTENTS
Major topics which will be covered in this program are:
-Basic image processing techniques.-History of ultrasound imaging.
-Physics of ultrasound imaging.
-Processing and analysis of ultrasound images.
-Clinical applications and interpretation of ultrasound images.

REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee per delegate shall be:
(a) Rs. 15,000/- for participants from Industries and R&D organizations.(b) Rs. 10,000/- for participants from various Engineering and Medical institutes.
(c) Rs. 10,000/- for the members of IEEE.
Which includes boarding and lodging arrangements.
Suitably furnished accommodation will be provided in the officers Hostels/ Guest Houses of the IIT Roorkee.
PAYMENT
The fee should be sent in advance through Bank draft drawn in favour of “Head, Continuing Education Centre” and payable at Roorkee”, latest by 15th Dec. 2009.
