Description:
An experienced software engineer with architect design capability is invited to apply for a program analyst position offered by the department of Neurosurgery at UCLA. This position is created to lead the effort of translating biomedical informatics research done at the Neural Systems and Dynamics Lab (NSDL) into well crafted software tools and systems that will be shared by a larger research community and/or used by clinical practitioners for improving their workflow and achieving better utilization of biomedical information including continuous physiological signals, medical images, and clinical variables.
Qualifications:
Are experienced in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance medical information processing systems; have experience in designing and implementing configurable software plugins; experience in TCP/IP/UDP socket programming is desired; fluent in more than one of the following languages/ application development systems: C++, Java , C#, SQL, ASP.Net, Visual Studio, QT, Flex, SQL Server, data integration service, and Matlab. Experience and knowledge of some of the following topics is a big plus: digital signal processing, machine learning, predictive model markup language, HL7, DICOM, and SNOMED.
