Phd Studentship in Nuclear medicine - TUM, Germany


PROJECT TITLE : "Reducing Motion and Attenuation Artefacts in Hybrid MR-PET Imaging

Position : Phd Research Fellow
Research Area : MR-PET
Duration : Three years
Department :  Nuclear Medicine, Technical University Munich - Germany
Deadline : 25 th July, 2010
Funding : Graduate School of Information Technology in Health,Technical University Munich - Germany .

Project Profile :

1.) Evaluation of the performance of a new MR-PET instrumentation hardware 
2.) Establishment of  new methods for MR-PET in order to reduce motion and attenuation artefacts. 
3.) Adapt existing coil concepts specifically to combined MR-PET systems or even develop novel concepts as well as examine novel materials suitable for this purpose

Requirements from applicants :

1.) Theoretical and experimental experience in PET and/or MR Imaging & instrumentation expected
2.) Good Programming and data analysis skills
3.) Good communication skills and fluent written & spoken english.

Eligibility :

Master degree in physics, engineering, computer science, or any equivalent degree.
