In 2002, Baxter India acquired the IV solutions business of Wockhardt, along with manufacturing assets and facilities in Waluj (Maharashtra) and Alathur in Tamil Nadu. The acquired sales and marketing team enables coverage of a wide spectrum of public and private hospitals across India. This acquisition catapulted Baxter to a leadership position in the estimated Rs.400 crore IV fluid market in India.
