Applications are invited for Assistant Professor positions. The center seeks Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. candidates with outstanding graduate and post-doctoral training, a strong publication record, the potential to attract external funding, and a commitment to the development of an interactive research program. New laboratory space and state of the art equipment are in place. Start up packages will be generous and successful applicants will be eligible for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Pediatrics, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Candidates with research interests in all areas of human genetics will be considered including: human genetic disease mechanisms and model systems. epigenetics, regulation of gene expression, chromatin structure and modification, and developmental genetics.
Please send curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, contact information for three referees, and .pdf files of three publications to: c-pomeroy@northwestern.edu.

2) Post-doctoral Fellowship
Applications are invited for post-doctoral positions in the Human Molecular Genetics (HMG) Program at CMRC. We seek highly motivated Ph.D. candidates with excellent graduate training and a strong publication record to join our research group. Projects include: DISC1 in brain development and schizophrenia (Dr. Morris); Chondroitin sulphate in signaling, cancer, and pediatric disease (Dr. Kluppel); Epigenetics of imprinted loci in autism spectrum disorders (Dr. Herzing); Enhancer: promoter interactions in the regulation of gene expression (Dr. Harris); Molecular genetics and therapeutics of neurological disease (Dr. DiDonato). We are part of a vibrant and interactive academic community and occupy excellent, well-equipped new laboratory space.
Please send a letter of application, specifying project of interest, curriculum vitae and contact information of three referees to c-pomeroy@northwestern.edu. Email is preferred, but if you must send a hard copy, please send it to:

3) Post-Doctoral Fellowships - Chromatin structure and regulation of expression of the CFTR gene
Applications are invited for two post-doctoral positions to investigate the chromatin structure and regulation of expression of the CFTR gene, which when mutated causes cystic fibrosis. This NHLBI-funded project will build on our recent work characterizing tissue-specific regulatory elements in the CFTR gene (Blackledge et al. Nucleic Acids Res. 2009 Mar; 37(4): 1086-94 and Ott et al. 2009 Journal of Cell and Molecular Medicine (accepted article on line)). Successful applicants will be highly motivated, possess excellent graduate training, and have a good publication record. Expertise in the analysis of DNA:protein interactions in vitro and in vivo is essential and familiarity with methods to study chromatin and/or transcription factors would be an advantage. We are part of a vibrant and interactive academic community and occupy excellent, well-equipped new laboratory space.
