JOINT INTERNATIONAL MASTER PROGRAM IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES (IMBS) - GERMANY & ARGENTINA

The International Master program in Biomedical Sciences (IMBS) at Freiburg (Germany) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) offers a 2- year course for the degree "Master of Science (M.Sc.)".

The majority of courses will take place at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) while a 4 month stay in Freiburg will include parts of module 7, first part of module 8, and a 1 week intensive course for each module. Second part of module 8 (consisting of two subjects of choice) and Module 9 (master thesis) can be performed either in Buenos Aires or in Freiburg.

Duration of the IMBS is four semesters including the Master thesis. The program is structured into the following modules:

Module I: Biophysics and Bioinformatics

Module II: Pathology

Module III: Pharmacology and Toxicology

Module IV: Microbiology, Virology, Cellular and Molecular Immunology

Module V: Neurobiology

Module VI: Molecular Biology

Module VII: Clinical Medicine

Module VIII: Optional Seminars and Traineeships

Module IX: Master Thesis


TUTION FEES

Tuition Fees

The tuition fee is 3169 € per semester and includes travel costs and housing in Germany. Full and partial scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship please send a letter in English addressed to Prof.Dr.Daniel Turyn and Prof.Dr. Dr. h.c. Roland Mertelsmann explaining the reasons for applying for the sholarship and the Program, and the percentage of scholarship required.
